Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Internal Business Development Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the charity sector.
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting and Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the charity sector, with a focus on generating a new pipeline of customers.
- Lead Generation: Respond to all inbound leads directly from potential customers or partners, and work to establish an effective pipeline of prospective merchants.
- Account Management: Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure account applications are fully completed, signed, and submitted to relevant acquirers.
- Product Knowledge: Ensure the correct product is ordered and relevant contract signed, and provide a smooth handover to Customer Service.
- Business Development: Proactively develop new business within company-defined channels, with a particular emphasis on the charity sector.
- Sales Targets: Deliver sales, distribution, and profit targets, and maintain a good working relationship with customers and internal teams.
- Reporting and Administration: Keep required systems and reporting tools updated on the progress of all activity, and complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Education: Good level of education, with a degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, or previous charity experience and a strong network of contacts.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated, results-oriented, and good time management and administration skills.
The role holder may be required to travel between sites, or for meetings with staff, customers, or suppliers. The job role holder may from time to time be required to operate to a flexible work-time schedule, working in response to peak work-load periods and the requirement to achieve sales targets.
