Overview:
Supporting Futures Consulting Ltd is seeking a dedicated Night Support Specialist to provide essential assistance to young individuals aged 16 to 25 residing in semi-independent living arrangements. This role is pivotal in fostering personal development and wellbeing among our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate access to employment, educational, or training opportunities for young individuals.
- Offer general support focused on self-presentation and overall wellbeing.
- Respond effectively to various behaviors to enhance the wellbeing of clients.
- Engage in professional development through formal training opportunities.
- Adhere to established policies and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with the team to provide tailored support and conduct needs assessments, including risk evaluations, emotional support, and practical assistance.
- Participate in the assessment and review of future housing and support requirements, coordinating both internal and external services and referrals as necessary.
- Contribute to a 24-hour rota to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Demonstrate a proven history of supporting vulnerable young individuals or adults in accommodation or community settings, with preferred experience in areas such as addiction, substance misuse, homelessness, or mental health.
- Exhibit strong skills in safeguarding and risk assessment.
- Hold an enhanced DBS issued within the last year or be registered on the DBS Update Service.
- Availability to work shifts during unsocial hours as required.
