We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team at Autumn Leaf, a specialist autism home providing support to adults with autism and learning disabilities.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for our residents. You will assist them with their daily living activities, promote their independence, and encourage their social and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care and support to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene, medication administration, and mealtimes.
- Encourage and facilitate social interaction and engagement in activities tailored to individual interests and abilities.
- Promote independence and self-advocacy by empowering residents to make choices and participate in decision-making processes.
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment for residents, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the home and the well-being of residents.
Essential Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with individuals with autism and learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid UK Manual Driving Licence held for at least 3 years.
