Senior Maintenance Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Maintenance Operations Engineer will primarily provide support for offshore installations, collaborating closely with the operational teams to enhance efficiency and implement positive changes.
  • This role involves reporting to the asset director and participating in a dedicated team focused on reviewing and updating maintenance strategies, leading failure investigations, and implementing efficiency improvements.
  • The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Offer technical guidance and maintenance support to the asset director as needed.
  • Deliver day-to-day maintenance assistance to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Engage with technical authority groups to improve performance standards and maintenance assurance.
  • Prepare cost estimates and assist in evaluating proposed project schedules.
  • Stay informed on technical advancements, national and international standards, and legislative requirements relevant to the role, while also contributing to the training and development of engineering staff.
  • Support maintenance work streams related to asset transformation initiatives.
  • Provide insights for updates to maintenance strategies and performance standards.
  • Assist in maintenance rationalization projects for the relevant contracts.
  • Guide projects and modifications within the engineering and construction department, ensuring alignment with maintenance strategies for effective project handover.
  • Contribute to the development of asset operating procedures, guidelines, and standards.
  • Analyze historical maintenance data to identify common failure modes and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with reliability and critical spares engineers to conduct comprehensive reviews of maintenance plans, proposing improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of major accident hazards and relevant safety legislation.
  • Proficient in maintenance management systems.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes in offshore environments.
  • Electrical authorization is required.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Capable of presenting complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
