POSITION TITLE:
SENIOR MAINTENANCE SUPPORT ENGINEER



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • The Senior Maintenance Support Engineer will primarily assist operations in offshore installations. Based in a central location, the engineer will collaborate closely with the asset operations team to optimize operational efficiencies while fostering positive changes within the team.
  • The engineer will report functionally to the asset director and will be part of a dedicated team responsible for conducting maintenance strategy assessments and updates, leading failure investigations, and implementing efficiency enhancements.
  • The Senior Maintenance Support Engineer should possess substantial experience and proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Provide technical maintenance insights, guidance, and support to the Asset Director.
  • Offer daily maintenance assistance to the contract as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the technical authority group to enhance performance standards and maintenance assurance.
  • Prepare estimates and assist in reviewing proposed schedules.
  • Stay informed about technical advancements, national and international standards, and legislative requirements relevant to the disciplines, including supporting the training and development of engineers.
  • Assist in maintenance work streams for asset transformation initiatives.
  • Provide insights and guidance for updates to maintenance strategies and performance standards.
  • Support maintenance rationalization projects.
  • Offer maintenance guidance for projects and modifications within the engineering and construction department, ensuring alignment with maintenance strategies.
  • Aid in the development of asset operating procedures, guidelines, and standards.
  • Analyze historical failure data to identify common failure modes and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with reliability and critical spares engineers to conduct comprehensive reviews of maintenance plans, proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • Understanding of major accident hazards and familiarity with key safety regulations.
  • Proficient in maintenance management systems.
  • Strong grasp of maintenance processes and procedures in offshore settings.
  • Electrical authorization is required.
  • Action-oriented, results-driven, and capable of inspiring others.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to articulate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
