Job Description

Wood PLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing first-line asset engineering support to our maintenance delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Engineering Support: Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance delivery teams to ensure effective maintenance and repair activities.
  • Engineering Authority: Act as Engineering Authority (EA3) to provide qualified engineering guidance and endorsement of engineering change, maintenance deferrals, and other technical documents.
  • Cost-Effective Solutions: Identify and provide cost-effective engineering solutions to plant operations and maintenance problems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Act as focal point for performance monitoring and troubleshooting of electrical systems, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability and reduce operating costs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with EA2s and technical functions to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Education: Engineering degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience.
  • Experience: Considerable relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in an engineering and production operations environment.
  • Skills: Good working knowledge of UK oil and gas industry regulations, particularly electrical regulations, and familiarity with quality processes and continuous improvement tools.
  • Certifications: EX Compex Units E01-E04, HV Systems Operations, and 18th Edition wiring regulation.
