Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity at FM Conway

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Consultancy division at FM Conway. This is a full-time, permanent role based in either our Sevenoaks Head Office or our Central London office, offering a competitive salary and a wide range of benefits.

About the Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead our prestigious projects and mentor our engineering professionals. You will work collaboratively with internal and external clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical and quality compliance through the provision of proactive technical solutions and designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop structural designs for concrete, steel, timber, and masonry materials.
  • Create structural designs for permanent and temporary works, adhering to relevant design standards and codes of practice.
  • Conduct structural assessments of various structures, including highways and buildings.
  • Support local authorities in their asset management strategies by leading inspections of highway structures and site surveys.
  • Manage health and safety during the design and construction phases.
  • Assist with the preparation of tender documents by preparing fee proposals and quality statements.
Requirements

We are looking for a passionate and driven Senior Structural Engineer with experience in developing highway designs in accordance with the DMRD, LCDS, and TSRGD. You will hold a BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent and have experience in highway engineering. You will also be a Chartered member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institution of Structural Engineers.
