About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group in London (Central). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of structural engineering projects, working closely with colleagues and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of structural designs and calculations for a wide range of projects, from small domestic extensions to large, multi-storey apartment and office developments.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to discuss design and technical solutions, ensuring that projects meet their needs and expectations.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, delegating work to team members and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff, fostering their development and progression within the company.
  • Implement company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence across the team.
  • Develop and maintain existing customer relationships, promoting JMS's services and assisting in achieving targeted revenues.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
  • Prior experience working with historic buildings is highly desirable.
