A prominent financial institution in the UK is on the lookout for a skilled Lead Credit Risk Strategist to oversee the credit risk management across various lending products, including retail, SME, and commercial offerings.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Lead Credit Risk Strategist to manage the performance of the credit risk portfolio effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to and refining the Credit Risk Insights strategy by leveraging the existing Credit MI suite and spearheading the development of creative reports and dashboards.
  • Transforming data into actionable insights that drive improvements or mitigate risks within the credit portfolio.
  • Enhancing the reporting framework by actively pursuing efficiency enhancements, creating superior visualization techniques, and enriching content.
  • Leading credit risk analysis projects, including comprehensive assessments, performance segmentation, and strategic evaluations.
  • Executing credit risk analytical initiatives throughout the entire credit lifecycle, covering all products and brands, to support the team, the wider risk function, and key business stakeholders.
  • Managing team workloads and guiding groups focused on MI and analytics projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Experience in first- or second-line credit risk management.
  • Background in secured lending is advantageous.
  • Essential lending experience, with unsecured lending also acceptable.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Base salary of £85,000.
  • Discretionary bonus potential of up to 25%.
  • Pension contribution of 8%.
