Nurse Practitioner in Paediatric Electrophysiology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Electrophysiology team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other related conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical co-ordination of inpatient services, including coordination of patient care and management of patient records.
- Work closely with the day ward to support preadmission and keep the medical team up to date with any changes.
- Be the link with the catheter lab and bed management, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Offer expert support and education to community teams, the GOSH network, and children's schools, ensuring safe transition of patients from primary to secondary school and onto adult cardiac services.
- Work within a wider team, composed of cardiologists, specialist nurses, cardiac technicians, clinical psychologists, geneticists, and administrative staff, to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
- NMC Registered Nurse (Child) or Registered Nurse with relevant experience in Paediatric healthcare.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relating to clinical specialty.
- Basic life support.
- Assessing and mentoring qualification (desirable).
- Leadership or management training (desirable).
- Excellent Paediatric clinical skills.
- Relevant specialist skills and abilities for the department (cardiac).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective teaching, training, and preceptorship skills.
- Ability to problem solve and initiate change.
- Ability to delegate and prioritise.
- Ability to work across professional team and organisational boundaries.
