We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join our client, a leading multinational conglomerate based in the West Midlands region. This is a pivotal role that requires a seasoned professional to oversee the company's financial operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Direct oversight of the financial team, including transactional accounting, treasury, management accounts, financial accounting, and tax.
- Financial Control: Ensure compliance with the accounting timetable while maintaining tight financial control.
- External Liaison: Liaising with external auditors and other external bodies as required.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the team, ensuring continued high performance and development.
- Business Partnership: Work closely with the board to support the growth agenda of the business.
Candidate Profile:
- Professional Qualifications: ACA, ACCA qualified.
- Industry Experience: Strong foundation in audit, complemented by substantial industry experience, ideally in a high-volume, multi-site environment.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading large financial teams within medium to large businesses.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to take ownership and drive financial performance.
