Join a dynamic team as a Human Resources Coordinator at a prominent food production facility.

Compensation: £12.50 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, fixed day shifts, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Your Responsibilities:
As a Human Resources Coordinator, your key duties will encompass:
  • Ensuring the site maintains an appropriate workforce by department and shift.
  • Facilitating the recruitment and retention of hourly paid staff while adhering to central recruitment protocols.
  • Monitoring overtime and addressing any concerns in line with ethical standards.
  • Evaluating local compensation rates and benefits, addressing recruitment and retention challenges influenced by external factors.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, including participation in disciplinary, grievance, and capability meetings alongside Line Managers.
  • Advising and assisting the Site Management team in implementing company initiatives related to site personnel, including employee recognition programs.
  • Preparing employment terms and conditions for prospective hourly paid staff, ensuring all legal and best practice documentation is accurately recorded.
  • Collaborating with the site management team to conduct performance reviews for hourly paid employees, providing support and coaching to Line Managers as needed.
  • Assisting the Training Manager with administrative tasks and various Learning & Development initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate employee information for KPI reporting and compliance.
  • Updating and overseeing the time and attendance system to manage site attendance and compliance effectively.
  • Keeping personnel records current for accurate reporting and auditing, liaising with relevant departments as necessary.
  • Providing timely and precise management information and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans.
  • Supporting the HR Manager during customer and ethical audits.
  • Driving employee engagement through effective communication of site activities and company initiatives.
  • Promoting fundraising activities for local charities and community projects.
  • Engaging with local educational institutions to enhance brand awareness and youth development.
  • Encouraging participation in employee surveys to gather feedback.
  • Facilitating communication with unions and employee forums to foster positive employee relations.
  • Collaborating to build a respected HR department.
  • Ensuring timely input of payroll information for hourly paid employees.
  • Promoting wellness initiatives and ensuring the site supports various employee care programs.
  • Assisting the HR Advisor in managing Occupational Health provisions and supporting absence management.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The perfect candidate for the Human Resources Coordinator role will possess:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A flexible and dynamic approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in recruitment or HR administration.
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment.
