Senior SAP BI Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BI Developer to join our Technology Change team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a cohesive SAP BI strategy aligned with our wider IT architecture and strategy.

About the Role

As a Senior SAP BI Developer, you will lead the sustainable and cost-effective provision of data developments that support business processes and services. You will work with a range of technologies across the SAP software estate, demonstrating extensive experience in SAP BI development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop solutions using SAP technologies to demonstrate potential new capabilities while ensuring appropriate standards are adhered to.
  • Work with SAP Security colleagues to ensure that all solutions deliver the appropriate level of security while minimizing adverse effects on the User Experience.
  • Provide technical leadership to review the impact of system fixes, patches, upgrades, and decommissioning on the BI Landscape to minimize risks and ensure effective mitigating controls are established.
  • Drive delivery of specified components as part of a capital project and seek out capital efficiencies through innovative development and delivery methods.
  • Proactively work with Technology Framework Partners to enhance the services provided by the technology, reduce costs, manage risk, and build resilience while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.
Requirements
  • A thorough understanding of how SAP systems/landscapes are structured.
  • Experience of working with SAP Development Technologies.
  • Experience of developing BI solutions using SAP ABAP CDS Views (Core Data Services) and SAP Fiori Elements.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, changing environment and ability to communicate this to all technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • A solid understanding of SAP Solution Manager relating to Release Management and Incident Management.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
