About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Michael Page Sales. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing new opportunities across our merchant network.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Trade Counter Account Management
  • Manage a diverse account base across a wide geographical area, focusing on trade counter operations.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key trade accounts to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
Account Development Planning
  • Implement and execute strategic account development plans as directed by the Sales Director.
  • Collaborate with each trade account's branch network to ensure the achievement of set objectives.
Sales Growth & Relationship Building
  • Drive sales growth through proactive engagement with branches and continuous relationship building with stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to up sell, cross-sell, and promote new products or services to key accounts.
Self-Management & Journey Planning
  • Independently manage your journey planning, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Maintain an organised calendar to meet targets and maximise customer engagement across the region.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Produce and submit sales and activity reports according to company guidelines.
  • Analyze performance data to monitor progress against goals and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Must possess a positive-can-do attitude, an ambitious self-starter
  • Industry related Sales experience preferable but not essential
  • Must have sold into trade counters & or builders merchants
  • Target driven & ambitious
