About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Process Development Technologist to join our team at The Compleat Food Group. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a crucial role in the launch of new and improved products, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and taste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver factory trials to launch new products, ensuring timely and successful launches.
  • Resolve challenges that new products and processes bring to the factory, finding innovative solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Deliver new products within our company's agenda, cost requirements, and timescales, adhering to site food safety and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with the NPD team, managers, and chefs to create new products that meet customer requirements.
  • Work closely with our Operations and Technical teams to deliver efficient, great-tasting, and high-quality products.
  • Support and deputize for the Process Development Manager, taking a key role in meetings and costing builds.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for product launches, including shelf life testing, organoleptic reviews, nutritional testing, and QA standards.
  • Lead product handover meetings to Operations and ensure all teams are informed about new products launching.
  • Deliver the NPD agenda within required cost and timescales.
  • Be responsible for all stages of critical path projects, understanding the implications and effects of deviations.
  • Support the ordering of new ingredients and packaging for trials and assess their quality.
  • Support PPR meetings and ensure the factory is launch-ready.
Requirements
  • A positive can-do attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Experience in a similar role or food manufacturing is desirable, but not essential.
