Job Overview

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to become part of a dynamic partnership focused on delivering exceptional substance use treatment and recovery services. Our organization is dedicated to a 'Recovery First' approach, ensuring that lived experience is at the heart of our operations.

As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber within our Recovery Service, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating transformative changes in the lives of individuals facing substance use challenges. Your passion for supporting others will be met with a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment that encourages personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Non-Medical Prescriber or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will engage in various interventions, including:

  • Opiate substitute treatment (OST) management
  • Benzodiazepine tapering
  • Alcohol and opiate detoxification processes
  • Relapse prevention strategies

You will also conduct health assessments, administer detoxification medications, and provide essential screenings and vaccinations. Collaborating closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services will be a vital part of your responsibilities, fostering a comprehensive support network for our clients.

Regular participation in prescriber meetings and clinical supervision will enhance your ongoing professional development. Our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead will provide thorough training and mentorship, allowing you to contribute significantly to the delivery of high-quality services.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a registered professional with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or a qualified Pharmacist, possessing independent prescribing qualifications. You should be adept at managing the complexities of prescribing for opiates and overseeing alcohol detoxification.

You will join a well-established team and must demonstrate excellent communication skills and organizational abilities. Your capacity to develop innovative and personalized support packages will be crucial in addressing the diverse needs of our clients. We seek an individual who is genuinely committed to helping others, exhibiting empathy, understanding, and patience.

Benefits Offered

  • Coverage for NMC Registration / GPhC Renewal fees
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities tailored to your career growth
  • Generous paid holiday allowance, with options to buy or sell additional days
  • Access to exclusive discounts and savings through our colleagues' hub
  • Flexible working arrangements to promote work-life balance
  • Life Assurance and a competitive Pension Scheme
  • Access to confidential counseling services and a well-being platform
  • Recognition awards for outstanding contributions and long service bonuses
  • Flexible benefits, including a Cycle to Work scheme
  • Referral bonuses for introducing new colleagues

We are committed to fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment.
