Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Pertemps Birmingham Industrial. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, and monitor maintenance costs to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality materials and equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure our equipment and processes remain at the forefront of technology.
- Strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, including single and three-phase systems.
- Proficiency in using manual machinery to produce custom parts for equipment improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes of breakdowns.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
