Rugby, Warwickshire, United Kingdom Forward Trust Full time £26,993
Health and Wellbeing Program Coordinator

Are you seeking a fulfilling role that enables individuals to overcome challenges and lead healthier lives? The Forward Trust is a social enterprise dedicated to empowering individuals to break free from the cycles of crime and addiction, facilitating their journey towards a brighter future.

Our initiatives have positively impacted countless individuals, helping them to enact meaningful changes and cultivate productive lives enriched with employment, relationships, and a sense of belonging.

We are committed to inclusivity and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, particularly those with 'Lived Experience', including individuals in recovery from addiction, co-dependency, gambling, or those who have faced previous offenses or homelessness.

As a Health and Wellbeing Program Coordinator (Peer Coordinator), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team and the institution in promoting integrated services. You will be responsible for training service users (inmates) to become peer mentors, enabling them to deliver peer-led interventions and provide essential support throughout the facility.

Additionally, you will assist in the development of Health & Wellbeing Champions within the institution. Their responsibilities will include motivating and guiding clients to take charge of their health and wellbeing while in custody. They will engage in discussions about their concerns, directing them to appropriate services within the facility, and, with permission, delivering interventions to fellow peers.

Qualifications:

A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification is required.

Benefits:
  • Opportunities for training and professional development
  • Monthly allowance of £90 for external supervision
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Optional Simply Health Cashback Scheme
  • Season Ticket Loan Scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Crisis Loan Scheme
  • Electric Car Scheme

Additionally, you will enjoy:

  • 3 Wellbeing Days (pro-rated for part-time employees)
  • 25 days of Annual Leave (increasing to 30 with length of service) plus Bank Holidays
  • Contributory Pension Scheme with employer-matched contributions of up to 6% in the first two years and up to 9% thereafter

If you believe you are a suitable candidate and are interested in contributing to the mission of Forward Trust, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further.
