National Patient Safety Team Job Description

The National Patient Safety Team at NHS England is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Fixed Term Process Manager Nights. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate extensive experience in patient safety improvement and outcomes, ideally at regional and national level.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can lead national quality and safety improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of quality improvement science, patient safety in healthcare systems, and programme management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the planning and delivery of Safety Improvement Programmes, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective programme management.
  2. Work jointly with our delivery partners, including the Health Innovation Network's 15 regionally based Patient Safety Collaboratives, to align programme/project management with programme plans and provide coaching, advice, and guidance on quality improvement methodologies and approaches.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering quality and safety improvement initiatives, with experience of working at regional and national level. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
