About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in our A&E department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the A&E department.
  • Act as a team leader, delegating tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by unqualified staff and learner nurses.
  • Deliver a high standard of nursing care without direct supervision, based on a sound evidence base.
  • Undertake and document comprehensive, systematic, and accurate nursing assessments of patients' physical, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Manage a group of patients throughout a shift, as delegated by the nurse in charge.

We are looking for a nurse with:

  • Wide experience in an acute setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and expertise.
  • Awareness and impact of clinical governance.
  • Critical analytical skills.
  • Knowledge and application of the NMC Code of Conduct.
