Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Staff Nurse to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our ward team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our young patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a specified group of patients.
- Act as a Team Leader, delegating tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by junior staff.
- Assist in the management of preceptorship and mentorship of newly qualified staff and nursing students.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and create opportunities to promote health and well-being.
- Lead a nursing team to manage patient care throughout a shift.
- Ensure staff adhere to Policies, Procedures, and NMC Guidance.
- Maintain standards by ensuring evidence-based practice underpins all nursing interventions.
- Liaise with ward teams and other departments to ensure optimal patient care.
