Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of new online brand products to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and safety standards.
  • Manage the onboarding process of new brands to ensure that Next has carried out their due diligence.
  • Verify that online products meet all required legal criteria.
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance to the Product Team, ensuring all technical aspects are addressed.
  • Foster strong working relationships within the team to enhance productivity and innovation.
  • Regularly assess the ways of working to ensure new brands are onboarded at speed.
  • Keep abreast of new legislation that may impact the products we sell.
  • Develop and implement solutions to address any challenges.

About You

You are a detail-oriented professional who is committed to ensuring all our products meet the highest legal and safety standards. Your technical expertise will be invaluable, as you'll provide crucial support and guidance to our team, helping them overcome challenges. Staying informed about the latest industry trends and consumer preferences is second nature to you, making you our go-to expert on market awareness. Your excellent communication skills enable you to clearly convey important information and requirements, whether you're collaborating with team members or liaising with external partners. Lastly, you're a skilled problem-solver, capable of quickly identifying and addressing any issues that arise with our products.

About the Team

We are a small team consisting of one Technologist and two Assistant Technologists. We look after multi-category products from clothing to footwear to suitcases to sports equipment. Your team plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of a wide array of products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting new brands through the onboarding process.
