About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Assistant Buyer to join our dynamic Menswear team at Next. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and review of seasonal ranges, formulating proposals for range restructuring, and collaborating with designers, merchandisers, and technologists to create stylish new collections.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support the buying team in developing and reviewing seasonal ranges
  • Formulate proposals for range restructuring, considering market opportunities and trends
  • Autonomously handle the Menswear range, presenting ranges to management and senior stakeholders
  • Develop and plan commercially successful ranges, considering sales data, price architecture, and brand DNA
  • Communicate design briefs, considering price, quality, and lead times
  • Analyse sales data and trends to identify new opportunities
  • Plan and manage meetings to quickly resolve issues
  • Maintain progress systems and meet critical deadlines
  • Build productive relationships with external suppliers
  • Support and develop Trainees in your team
About You

We are looking for an exceptional communicator and negotiator with a keen understanding of margin and costs. You will be highly organised, able to proactively manage a wide range of responsibilities throughout the development process, and balance multiple priorities with ease.
