Exciting Opportunity for a SEN Support Assistant

We are pleased to present a remarkable opportunity for a SEN Support Assistant at a primary educational institution.

This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those with severe verbal and non-verbal Autism.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing individualized support to children
  • Familiarity with communication methods such as PECS and Phonics is preferred
  • Ability to assist the educator with daily classroom responsibilities
  • Ideal for graduates looking to gain experience in the educational field or those with previous experience as a teaching assistant

We strongly encourage applications from candidates with expertise in any area of special educational needs, especially in moderate to severe Autism and behavior management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized support to students with special educational needs, focusing on their unique requirements and learning preferences
  • Assist in the execution of educational strategies and interventions to promote student advancement
  • Work collaboratively with the educator to foster inclusive and stimulating learning environments
  • Support students in enhancing their social skills and independence
  • Track and document student progress, providing constructive feedback to the educator and SEN Coordinator
