Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Support Worker to join our team at a specialist school, college, and children's home in rural Surrey. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication, and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support young people outside of school hours and provide classroom cover during breaks.
  • Assist with personal care, meal preparation, shopping, money handling, and participation in on and off-site activities.
  • Promote the young person's independence and overall well-being.
  • Contribute to exciting holiday trips, including beach outings, funfairs, adventure parks, meals out, cycling sessions, and more.
Requirements:
  • Empathy, enthusiasm, compassion, mental, physical, and emotional resilience.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with children or within a similar Social Care setting.
  • Flexibility to undertake sleep-in duties.
  • Driver's license and access to own car is a must due to the rural location.
