Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to support various operational units within our organization.


Utilizing your mechanical expertise, you will be responsible for the removal, refurbishment, and installation of diverse mechanical systems, which may encompass hydraulic systems, weaponry, fuel and water systems, as well as low and high-pressure air systems, among other critical components.

In adherence to engineering schematics and technical specifications, you will also be tasked with the installation and alignment of new machinery, alongside conducting functional tests and assessments of systems and equipment.

If you possess the necessary technical skills and a commitment to safety, we can offer you the opportunity to engage in some of the most stimulating engineering projects available.

A strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and instructions is essential, as is proficiency in the operation of general workshop machinery relevant to mechanical fitting.

Experience in the marine sector, particularly with Royal Navy vessels, Royal Fleet Auxiliary ships, or large commercial maritime crafts, is preferred, although other pertinent experience will be taken into account.


Key Requirements:


Experience in the removal, installation, and refurbishment of marine mechanical systems, with a specific emphasis on propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and power generation systems.


Desirable Additional Experience:
Background in marine engineering
Time served in a marine engineering or naval environment

Qualifications Required (at least one of the following):
Completion of an Indentured Apprenticeship
Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline
Military service with mechanical specialization
Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering

Standard working hours are 35 per week, with Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 15:30 and Friday from 07:30 to 12:30, with potential for shifts and overtime.
