Gap Personnel Exeter is seeking multiple Mechanical Fitters for a temp to perm opportunity with our client located at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth, Devon.
You will be part of a prominent organization that delivers Engineering Services across Defence, Security, Nuclear, and Emergency sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with a diverse range of mechanical systems including Fluid Pumps, Diesel Engines, Air Pressure, and Hydraulic Systems.
- Interpret Engineering and Technical Drawings to install and align new machinery and components.
- Utilize workshop equipment to execute specific mechanical fittings.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Holds a Mechanical Engineering Level 3 Qualification.
- Experience in MOT, vehicle assembly, or mechanics is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Technical/Engineering Drawings.
- Knowledge of the Marine Industry is a plus.
Compensation & Working Hours:
- £18.73 per hour, paid weekly.
- Working hours are Monday to Thursday (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM) and Friday (7:30 AM – 12:30 PM), totaling 35 hours per week.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive approach to teamwork, collaborating effectively with colleagues. You will adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining integrity and confidentiality in all business matters. Compliance with health and safety regulations is essential for your safety and that of others.
