Position Overview
Prepare for a rewarding opportunity as a Mechanical Assembly Technician. You will engage in critical maintenance operations for naval fleets, handling various mechanical systems such as hydraulic pumps, diesel power units, and additional machinery.

  • Precisely installing and aligning mechanical systems
  • Interpreting engineering schematics with accuracy
  • Performing assessments to guarantee peak functionality
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical challenges effectively

This is a full-time role, comprising 35 hours per week, situated at our operational site.

Required Experience

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and directives
  • Experience operating workshop tools for mechanical assembly
  • Background in marine engineering, particularly with naval and commercial vessels
  • Practical experience with marine mechanical systems
  • Prior experience in a marine engineering setting

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a robust foundation in mechanical engineering, which may include:

  • Completion of a marine or naval engineering apprenticeship
  • An apprenticeship in a mechanical field
  • A Level-3 Modern Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline
  • A Level-3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering

Security Clearance
The selected candidate must obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this position.
