HR Systems Implementation Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the transition of HR systems, specifically Oracle HCM to Workday, as part of a 9-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of HR systems and processes, strong stakeholder and project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transitioning HR Systems: Support the transition of HR systems, including payroll system changes, and ensure a seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR leaders, Digital teams, and other business stakeholders to ensure a successful transition of systems.
  • Identifying Downstream Impact: Work with colleagues in the Digital Enterprise team to identify impacts and changes to other systems and processes as part of the transition.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to support data migration and other technical activities required.
  • Support with Technical Changes/Enhancements: Work with Abcam's system integration and support partners on changes and enhancements to HR systems.

About You:

  • A good understanding of Workday and Oracle HCM.
  • General understanding of the HR domain and other systems in that space.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
  • Ability to distill and effectively manage information.
  • Able to work both in a team and independently, to deliver results.
  • Good attention to detail and an ability to analyze and use data in decision making.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Experience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues independently.
  • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling, and succinct way in written and verbal communications.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Qualifications:

A degree in a digital background would be beneficial but not essential. We are keen to see solid skills and experience.
