About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Consultant to join our team in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, or Sheffield. As an Energy Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our continued ambitious growth in Energy.

As a member of our vibrant team, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including solar photovoltaics, electricity storage, low temperature heat networks, and low carbon heat generation. You will consult on net zero solutions and decarbonisation developments under various energy vectors & domains, including low carbon hydrogen, CCUS, Wind, Solar, New Fuels & Tidal, and energy distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult on net zero solutions and decarbonisation developments
  • Work on sustainability policy development and analysis, carbon management, renewables, and climate services with regional stakeholders
  • Optimise processes for asset management applications
  • Support decarbonisation master planning at an estate, city, regional, and national scale
  • Develop integrated projects with wider portfolio teams, prepare bids for client opportunities & funding rounds
Requirements
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering
  • Working towards Chartership or membership of relevant professional institution(s)
  • Working knowledge of technical consulting projects, including energy infrastructure feasibility studies and portfolio or area energy strategies
  • Ability to undertake strong project and technical analysis, reporting, and presentation
  • Candidates with energy modelling, and related financial analysis techniques along with cross-disciplinary knowledge in the energy sector would be an advantage
