Position Overview

Hastings Hotels, a prestigious family-run luxury hotel group in Northern Ireland, is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for our guests through our dedicated team.

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering top-tier service to join us as a Night Manager. In this role, you will oversee our night operations at the esteemed Europa Hotel, ensuring that our guests receive unparalleled service during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and inspire the night team, ensuring effective communication and adherence to company policies.
  2. Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment for all staff members.
  3. Manage budgets and implement strategies to optimize the profitability of night operations.
  4. Maintain high-quality standards and continuously seek feedback for improvement.
  5. Oversee cash handling procedures and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  6. Ensure all night staff are well-trained and equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  7. Promote hotel services and local attractions to enhance guest experiences.
  8. Address guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.
  9. Ensure the security and safety of the hotel premises during night hours.
  10. Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  11. Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of front office areas and equipment.
  12. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to enhance our market position.
  13. Assist in the recruitment and training of front office staff as needed.
  14. Contribute to the development of business strategies and initiatives.
  15. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in night operations, ideally in a managerial capacity, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in hospitality.

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Excellent numerical and IT skills.
  • Customer service expertise.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and work collaboratively.
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Educational qualifications equivalent to GCSE standards, including English and Maths.
