Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to deliver Process Engineering support to our UK operations, contributing to modifications and projects as necessary.

This position is a contract role with potential for extension following the initial term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to regulatory requirements, legislation, and Harbour Energy's HSES Procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive Process Engineering support to UK operations.

Accountability and Competence Areas:

  • Evaluate and develop potential engineering work scopes aimed at enhancing process safety, environmental performance, reliability, and production efficiency.
  • Generate and review detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets, simulation models, and drawings to meet the engineering requirements of our assets.
  • Assist in conducting process safety assessments such as HAZOP and LOPA, and ensure timely closure of actions arising from these reviews.
  • Offer technical assistance to Operations teams upon request.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of technical content, engineering performance, and cost-effectiveness of modification projects.
  • Support the execution of Technical Work Management processes for proposed studies, modifications, and projects.
  • Engage in Research and Development initiatives as required.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager.

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Degree in engineering or a satisfactory equivalent (e.g., HND/HNC) along with relevant qualifications and/or vocational certifications.
  • Membership in a professional body working towards Chartership is preferred.
  • Operational and engineering experience is advantageous.
  • Developing relevant technical expertise.
  • Experience in offshore operations.
  • Understanding of processes necessary to achieve HSE objectives and familiarity with the UK regulatory framework.
  • Awareness of Harbour Energy's corporate and local budgeting, maintenance, and project management processes and tools.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership qualities and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Ability to work effectively within a peer group and drive towards optimal business solutions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and networking skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to instigate and implement change.
  • Achievement-oriented with a focus on ambitious yet realistic goals and targets.
  • Familiarity with Harbour Energy's HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS).
  • Understanding of Harbour Energy's Values and Business Principles.
