Job Summary:
TMM Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Process Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our clients' operations in the oil and gas industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Safety Cases: Develop and maintain vessel safety cases and support formal safety assessment studies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify and mitigate major accident hazards associated with vessel operations through the development and maintenance of bow-tie diagrams.
- Collaborate with Technical Authorities: Collaborate with technical authorities to identify safety and environmentally critical elements (SECEs) and develop associated performance standards and assurance activities.
- Improve Process Safety Performance: Maintain and continue to improve real-time digital barrier and process safety performance monitoring solutions (Presight) to ensure optimal safety performance.
- Review Operational Risk Assessments: Review operational risk assessments for temporarily degraded plant, processing, and people barriers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments: Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessments carried out in support of the management of change process to ensure the safety of our clients' operations.
- Develop Emergency Response Plans: Assist in the development of emergency response plans for major accident hazards identified in the safety case.
- Develop Process Safety Training Material: Develop process safety training material for the offshore workforce to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely.
- Coordinate Inspections: Coordinate inspections carried out by the Competent Authority (OMAR/OPRED) and ensure that any findings are logged, followed up, and closed out in a timely manner.
- Manage Regulatory Compliance: Control documents and correspondence sent to regulatory bodies to ensure statutory documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
- Review Industry Standards: Review relevant industry standards against asset integrity procedures and identify any upgrades or policy impacts.
- Liaise with Clients: Liaise with clients to resolve any process safety-related issues identified during the rig acceptance process and in operation.
- Integrate Human Factors: Support the integration of human factors into the management system to ensure the safety of our clients' operations.
- Manage External Consultancy Relationships: Manage external consultancy relationships where expert guidance is required to ensure the safety of our clients' operations.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
- Education: Bachelor or Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge of offshore safety legislation, guidance, and associated industry standards.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of offshore drilling operations and associated equipment.
