Job Title: Lead HSE Advisor

We are seeking a proactive individual to join Royal IHC Ltd at our Port of Blyth facility. As the Lead HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the company's HSE policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a quality HSE service to the business, ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, customers, and contractors.
  • Carry out HSEQ reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work to prevent accidents and incidents.
  • Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and ensure compliance with company policy, systems, and legislation.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, serious incidents, and near misses, and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
  • A recognized HSE qualification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
  • Experience in a Health and Safety role or a role with exposure to safety risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Industry knowledge and analytical skills to interpret technical information.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential HSE issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to challenge at all levels on HSE issues.
Notes:
  • This role may involve national and international travel.
  • A driving license is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours to support on-site teams during periods of testing, complex lifts, etc.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
