Job Title: Specialist Pharmacist

NHS Lothian is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the people of Lothian. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy & Medicines Service team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide a high-quality clinical pharmacy service to patients at East Lothian Community Hospital, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless care. Key areas of focus include medicines reconciliation, pharmaceutical care, and patient counseling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients at East Lothian Community Hospital
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience working in a patient-focused environment
  • Ability to influence prescribing decisions in a clinical setting
