Role Responsibilities

As a Deputy Manager, you will embody our values and uphold our vibrant culture. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving our high standards. You will immerse yourself in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and other necessary legal and statutory guidelines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example to ensure that all team members adhere to our policies and procedures
  • Inspiring your team to maintain the highest standards of care and education
  • Prioritizing the welfare and safety of children, addressing any child protection issues promptly
  • Assisting in the planning and organization of staffing schedules and holiday rotas
  • Managing administrative tasks, including registrations and place allocations
  • Monitoring and documenting children's progress and achievements through effective observation systems
  • Creating a nurturing environment that respects the diversity of each child's background and needs

Candidate Requirements

To qualify for the Deputy Manager position, you should possess:

  • A relevant childcare qualification, with a minimum of Level 3
  • Values that align with our core principles of Listening, Learning, and Leading
  • Experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or current Deputy Manager in a nursery setting, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities
  • The legal right to work in the UK
