About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Pain Medicine to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with complex pain conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective pain management strategies for patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with pain-related conditions.
  • Conduct clinical audits and research to improve pain management practices and outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals on pain management best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • General medical qualification (e.g., MBBS or equivalent) and a Licence to Practise.
  • Membership of the Royal College of Anaesthetics or a recognized equivalent in any other country.
  • Excellent knowledge of pain management principles and practices.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team working and leadership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
