We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our Learning Disabilities Team at Dorset Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to adults with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of adults with learning disabilities, providing support and guidance to ensure their needs are met.
- Conduct reviews and assessments to identify the needs of service users and develop personalized care plans.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure the protection and well-being of vulnerable adults.
- Support service users to live safely and independently in their own homes, promoting their choices, control, and independence.
- Assess and review existing service users placed in care homes, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Post-qualifying experience of working as a social worker in the Learning Disabilities Team within the UK Social Care industry.
- Registration with the Social Work England (SWE) register.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (we can assist with obtaining this).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
