Role Overview:

As an Autism Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing essential assistance to students with ASD, facilitating their educational and social experiences. You will collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.

Primary Duties:
  • Deliver personalized support to students with ASD, both individually and in small groups.
  • Assist in executing tailored education plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Employ specialized methods and techniques to aid students' learning and social skills.
  • Create a secure and nurturing atmosphere that promotes positive interactions.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.
  • Track and document students' progress, offering regular feedback and updates.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASD and effective support methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Patience, compassion, and a dedication to assisting students with ASD.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Relevant educational qualifications or experience in support roles (preferred but not mandatory).
