Job Description

Job Title: Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at the Redbourne Centre, a specialist care home with nursing. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disability, mental health disorders, and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the senior team in assessing individual tenant needs, planning, delivering, and evaluating care for a number of individuals or groups of tenants/tenants.
  • Exercise a reasonable and agreed degree of professional autonomy and make judgments and decisions to satisfy the expectations and demands of the job.
  • Undertake clinical work-related tasks as delegated by senior staff, following appropriate training and assessment of competency.
  • Liaise effectively with all stakeholders in the care process, including carers and relatives, to provide an effective, seamless, and integrated service to tenants.
  • Maintain accurate, legible records of care provided, based on the care plan, incorporating all relevant communication and liaison.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Health and Social Care (not essential)
  • Experience in a care setting (not essential)
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working with young people and/or adults with Learning disabilities, Autism, and mental health problems
