About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager to join our team at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Management: Compose, type, format, proofread, edit, and organize documents, reports, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Project Support: Assist with developing project guides, provide information and support for project reviews, and apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multiple Project Managers and project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Financial Management: Assist with or prepare project invoices as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the engineering or construction industry or a design consultancy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering and proven experience running a design engineering team(s).
  • Experience: Working knowledge of construction projects and team-management and leadership skills.
