About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Social Work Specialist to join our Operational Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex caseloads, providing supervision and guidance to social workers, and contributing to the development of our service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex caseloads and provide high-quality social work services to children and families
- Provide supervision and guidance to social workers to ensure they are equipped to manage complex cases
- Contribute to the development of our service, including the implementation of new policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with other teams and agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families
- Participate in specialist project work and contribute to the development of our service
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A social work qualification, such as a DipSW, CQSW, or CSS
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience of working with children and families in a local authority setting
- Experience of complex Child Protection cases and Court proceedings under the Children's Act 1989
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and a willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
