**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team as a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial gas appliances and systems, performing routine inspections and safety checks, and diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.

**Responsibilities:**

  • **Servicing and Maintenance:** Servicing and maintaining a variety of commercial gas appliances and systems, including boilers, heaters, and pipework.
  • **Inspections and Safety Checks:** Performing routine inspections and safety checks to ensure gas systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
  • **Fault Diagnosis and Repair:** Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in gas appliances, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety.
  • **Gas Leak Tests and Carbon Monoxide Checks:** Conducting gas leak tests and carbon monoxide checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • **Collaboration and Coordination:** Collaborating with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades.
  • **Safety Protocols and Regulatory Requirements:** Adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to promote a safe working environment.

**Requirements:**

  • **Experience:** Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry.
  • **Certifications:** Gas Safe Register certification and relevant qualifications (e.g. ACS, COCN1, CODNCO1).
  • **Licenses:** Full UK driving licence.
  • **Knowledge and Skills:** Strong knowledge of commercial gas appliances, systems, and regulations, proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective communication and customer service skills.

**What We Offer:**

  • **Competitive Salary:** Competitive salary between £43,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience).
  • **Benefits:** Van and fuel card supplied, core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week), participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, generous workplace pension scheme, training, development, and progression opportunities.
