The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Vineyard Specialist to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of all vineyard operations, providing guidance and leadership to a dedicated team of workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily vineyard tasks, including pruning, shoot thinning, yield manipulation, and spray applications. Maintain meticulous records of all activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing training and support to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of vineyard equipment and infrastructure, including trellis systems and irrigation.
• Implement best practices for soil management, weed control, and pest management.
• Collaborate with the Vineyard Manager to develop and execute vineyard improvement plans.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of viticulture principles and hands-on experience in all aspects of vineyard management. You should be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven track record in vineyard operations, including pruning, canopy management, and pest control.
• Strong knowledge of UK viticulture practices and grape varieties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel between vineyard sites.
