About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Academic Skills Tutor to join our Learning Success Hub at Arden University. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing essential academic skills support to students throughout their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Workshops and One-on-One Support: Facilitate workshops and provide personalized assistance to develop students' academic skills, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Support Across Programs and Levels: Assist students from various programs and educational levels in enhancing their academic capabilities, ensuring a seamless learning experience.
  • Contribute to Program Development: Participate in the innovative development of academic skills programs, driving high-quality student experiences and outcomes.
  • Focus Areas: Support students with academic writing, academic integrity, effective study habits, and digital literacy, empowering them to succeed in their academic pursuits.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for delivering blended and online learning. As a successful candidate, you will possess:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in supporting students to develop strong academic skills across diverse programs, with a proven track record of success.
  • Digital Literacy: Excellent digital literacy skills, with a passion for enhancing students' digital competencies and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Educational Background: Holding or working towards a postgraduate degree in relevant fields such as EAP, English, Leadership and Management, Social Science, Psychology, Law, Criminology, STEM, or Health Care and Management.
  • Self-Motivated and Organized: Highly motivated, positive, ambitious, and organized, with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Dedicated to ongoing professional development and sharing best practices to foster continuous improvement and excellence.
