About the Role:

We are a leading training provider to the Water Utilities sector, seeking an experienced English and Maths Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences to our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver courses of learning for learners, ensuring alignment with awarding body and JCQ guidelines.
  2. Develop and implement effective teaching plans and learning materials for classroom and 1:1 coaching sessions.
  3. Conduct assessments, providing constructive feedback to learners.
  4. Undertake formal reviews with learners, completing coaching and assessment records.
  5. Provide subject specialist information, advice, and support to learners and colleagues.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in teaching English and Maths Functional Skills.
  • Strong subject matter expertise and knowledge of awarding body guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
