We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Arden White. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our procurement process and ensuring that high-quality materials and components are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify Opportunities for Cost Savings: Analyze our procurement activities and identify opportunities to reduce costs by centralizing purchasing activities and leveraging spend across multiple sites.
- Record and Report Cost Savings: Accurately record and report cost savings to management for review and implementation.
- Monitor and Progress Open Purchase Orders: Regularly monitor and progress open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
- Manage Inventory Levels: Monitor and adjust inventory levels as necessary to ensure that stock shortages are minimized and inventory is optimized.
- Build and Maintain Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, updating supplier contact records in our database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Sourcing Spare Parts: Source spare parts on the open market, including higher assemblies for parts teardown, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage Internal Purchase Requisitions: Manage internal purchase requisitions and procure non-stock commercial products using our e-procurement system to streamline spend through group-wide suppliers.
- Conduct Weekly Reviews: Conduct weekly reviews of inventory reports and purchasing pharmaceutical products for specific business units.
- Resolve Delivery, Quality, or Invoice Discrepancies: Assist in the resolution of delivery, quality, or invoice discrepancies with suppliers.
- Arrange Returns: Arrange the return of supplier products according to our company's returns policy, capturing data on quality and delivery performance for supplier assessments.
- Support Engineering Team: Support the engineering team with the costing of spares, tooling, and consumables for various projects.
- Participate in Daily Meetings: Participate in daily meetings to provide accurate product information and support business units effectively.
Requirements:
- Experience in Purchasing Technical Products: Experience in purchasing technical products and services within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
- MRP Purchasing and Stock Management Systems: Proficiency in MRP purchasing and stock management systems.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Strong experience in fostering and managing supplier relationships.
- Microsoft Office: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets to generate reports and insights.
- Technical Drawing and Product Specifications: The ability to read and understand technical drawings and product specifications.
