Assistant Site Manager

Fortem Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for leading site teams and subcontractors in undertaking various tasks and ensuring the successful delivery of refurbishment programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review certification to ensure works comply with appropriate standards
- Ensure inspections are properly recorded on prescribed forms of certification and reporting
- Lead a team of supply chain partners to solve problems associated with carrying out their works
- Enforce H&S procedures and policies
- Carry out Ad Hoc safety inspections on supply chain partners
- Carry out WIPs on directly employed trades people
- Carry out Quality Inspections on all works
- Ensure PAT testing of office equipment and plant is current
- Organise work activity and prioritisation for the team
- Accident Recording
- Managing the Welfare facilities on site
- Working with clients, supply chain partners and tenants to achieve excellent customer satisfaction
- Managing programme responsibilities
Requirements:
- Experience of managing construction projects at Assistant Site Manager level
- Problem solving skills, analytical capability
- Ability to work well under pressure
- IT skills including the Microsoft Office package
- CSCS Card
- Full UK driving licence and the flexibility to undertake regular travel
Desirable:
- Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance
- Understanding of job costing
- SMSTS
- Knowledge or an understanding of EWI / external cladding replacement and fire compliance works in a residential tower block setting
- Scaffold Inspection
- PASMA Trained
