Job Summary

A leading charity is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Development and Fundraising to join their Senior Leadership Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the charity's fundraising function, managing a portfolio of donors, and working closely with the Chief Development Officer to exceed ambitious fundraising targets.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned fundraising professional to make a significant impact on the charity's success. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Fundraising Function: You will oversee all aspects of the charity's fundraising function, including strategy development, team management, and budgeting.
  • Donor Management: You will manage a portfolio of high-value donors, building relationships and securing significant gifts to support the charity's mission.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: You will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and other senior leaders to develop and implement fundraising strategies, and build partnerships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Fundraising Experience: You will have a track record of success in fundraising, with a strong understanding of best practices and a proven ability to meet or exceed fundraising targets.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: You will have experience leading and managing teams, with a strong ability to motivate and develop staff.
