Key Responsibilities

Strategic Fundraising Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve ambitious income generation targets.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and volunteers to drive fundraising efforts and enhance the RCP's profile.
  • Enhance fundraising comms strategy and produce high-quality digital and hardcopy materials to showcase donor impact.
  • Plan engagement programs between the President/CEO and major gift prospects, including international donors.
  • Facilitate development committee work, advising on strategy, monitoring progress, and introducing new prospects.
  • Support fundraising skills development among colleagues and senior colleagues involved in making asks.
  • Maximise fundraising potential of the RCP's heritage collections and grow museum, archive, and library fundraising income.
  • Ensure due diligence on prospective donors and adherence to internal processes and procedures.
About You

Requirements

  • Proven track record of effective fundraising leadership and major gift experience.
  • Influencing and negotiating at senior levels, with ability to describe and communicate compelling propositions.
  • Developing a fundraising strategy over time, demonstrating innovation and creativity.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management and networking skills to build and sustain relationships with major philanthropic partners.
  • Successful line management experience that builds and motivates a team.
  • Strong organisational skills to maximise outcomes against multiple competing priorities.
  • Understanding of fundraising regulation and compliance.
